Although you need a walking stick more than my grandfather does,
Although we are not in the same class or elective anymore,
Although you cant come asking me about school work anymore,
Although i dont stay at sembawang anymore,
I know that you will still walk in mine and our hearts ( without a walking stick )

Too many things to share but too little time to say. SOOOOOO for the sake of posting, i shall let you all read my pseudo valedictorian speech ( something like a grad speech)vfor my public speaking.

Valedictory speech 2010

Good afternoon, Directors, Course managers, Lecturers, fellow graduates, ladies and gentlemen. Today it gives me great honour to be able to stand before all of you to make this speech.

Apart from receiving our graduation certificates to commemorate the end of our poly lives, this is also the perfect opportunity for us to walk down the memory lane, to think back and remember the wonderful days and experiences we had in Temasek Polytechnic – the place we called home for a good three years.

To begin, i would like to take this opportunity to thank the many people who have made my life in Temasek polytechnic a wonderful ride. First, i would like to thank all the lecturers and tutors for their cold jokes and deep dedication towards educating us. They have all been wonderful facilitators of education. Always open and welcoming our enquiries and ideas, they took the extra step to make sure that they are always available for clarification.

Next, i would like to thank all the wonderful friends that i have made throughout the three years in Temasek Polytechnic. If there is anything i that i would remember ten years down the road, it will not be the books or exam syllabus; it would be all the unique individuals whom I’ve met; the times we’ve spent together; and the joys we’ve shared. I don’t have the time to name all of the wonderful people here. But you know who you are and i just want to let all of you to know that you guys are special to me. Thank you for sticking with me through thick and thin, for touching my heart.

Today, as we receive our diplomas, give yourselves a pat on the back. Congratulate yourself for having successfully completing the three years of tertiary education. However, life does not end here, this may be the end of a phase in our life, but it also marks the beginning of another.

The ladies, you can choose either to further your education or start plying your trade in the working world. OR You can get married and be housewives. But sadly for the guys, our choices seems a little wee bit limited since our only option is to dedicate at least two years of our life in national service.

On a more serious note, we should not rest on our laurels; rather, we ought to stay focus as we graduate amidst the recession. Times are tough and we must stay strong in order to combat this turbulent economic climate.

As we part ways to embark on our separate journey towards the future, remember to keep in touch with all the beautiful people and bonds that we have forged.

But for now, let us celebrate this day, our special day. All dressed up and picture ready, let’s soak ourselves in the pride of being graduates of Temasek Polytechnic. Let’s enjoy the following ceremonies and performance lined up for us later on.

It has been a great pleasure to make this speech before all of you, thank you for being such a wonderful audience, Thank you.

It was quite a suprise to see you in my dream. It was been wonderful. But its too painful to bear for i will wake up to know that it was all just a dream.

Manchester United have accepted a world record £80 million bid for Real Madrid for Cristiano Ronaldo.

A statement on United’s official website read: “Manchester United have received a world-record, unconditional offer of £80million for Cristiano Ronaldo from Real Madrid.

“At Cristiano’s request – who has again expressed his desire to leave – and after discussion with the player’s representatives, United have agreed to give Real Madrid permission to talk to the player.

“Matters are expected to be concluded by 30 June. The club will not comment until further notice.”

United have finally caved in to persistent interest from Real in the reigning Ballon d’Or and World Player of the Year.

The Portuguese international has repeatedly said it is his ‘dream’ to play for Real Madrid, who are finally set to get their man following the recent return to the club presidency of Florentino Perez.

It continues the explosive start to Perez’s second term at the Bernabeu, with Brazilian star Kaka having signed from Milan for £58m on Monday evening.

Ronaldo joined United in 2003 and scored 118 goals in 292 appearances for the club, netting 26 times in 2008/09 as the Reds retained their Premier League title and reached the Champions League final.
